Pastors Tom and Judy Douglas have served as Music Pastors since 1996. Pastor Tom is a songwriter, gifted soloist, and anointed worship leader. He has a team of accomplished musicians, (led be our Chief Musician Joel Noguera), and gifted singers (led by his wife Judy). Judy Douglas gives oversight to the Choir and Drama Ministries. She has written and produced several play productions at NHIC since joining the team.

Pastors Willy and Sunny Vega have reached people struggling with life-controlling issues for many years. They have served on staff since 2003. Pastor Willy sits on two County Boards, working with political and social leaders in Contra Costa County to offer programs, housing, job placement, and behavioral counseling for men, women, and families who have been negatively impacted by addictive behavior. They lead the “Get Real” recovery ministry, with dozens of leaders who teach in the various recovery homes and centers in our region.

Pastors Rob and Brenda Walker have served as full-time youth pastors since 2002. They lead a very popular local outreach for youth known as the “Gym Jam,” established in 1991. They have an open door to every junior high school and senior high school campus in our school district. They are very active in our private school (CCS), teaching, coaching, and mentoring many of our students. As parents, they are active with youth in football, softball, cheerleading, and much more. They lead youth camps, overseas mission’s outreaches, and several local outreaches.

Pastors Gene and Susan joined the ministry team of NHIC in 1999. Susan serves in the church office as bookkeeper; and Pastor Gene also teaches in CCS’s “Upper Grades” class.
He is a gifted educator and gives oversight to our “Encounters” and “School of Leaders.” Their combined gifts are a real compliment to just about every ministry we offer. Whether it’s acting and singing in one of our musicals, teaching a mid-week class at “Elevation,” or leading a small group ministry, they are real team players.

Pastors Yohn and Ruth came to NHIC from Oregon in 2000. Personal friends to our Pastors Gene and Susan Fend, they came to assist them in building a strong children’s ministry. After serving for several years, they became Early Childhood Pastors in 2007. Ruth works as Office Assistant in our school (CCS), and they manage The Source, our campus and online Christian Bookstore.
